How to install LAMP

Type the following commands in terminal:

$sudo apt-get install apache2

Then type y

$sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5

Type y

$sudo apt-get install mysql-server mysql-server

Type y

After this fill the password as username ‘root’

then press Tab

then press space to select ok

$sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin

press y

Firstly press Space to select apache2

then press Tab and then Space to select ok

Press Tab and Space to select ok

Press Tab and Space  to select yes

Fill password here. Then press Tab and Space to select ok

then press Tab

then press Space to select ok

Retype the same password to confirm

$sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-auth-mysql php5-mysql

$sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

output:

Open with browser:

http//:localhost

it shows :

Then open in browser:

http//:localhost/phpmyadmin

login with username and password

    this is what I get when I install in ubuntu 14.04 Debian

    Can you please interpret this for me?

    • Apache restarted successfully. It just is not sure where you want it to serve it from, so it is chose localhost(127.0.1.1) by default.

      Add the following line into your /etc/apache2/apache2.conf file(to prevent this message from appearing):

      ServerName localhost
